Hazard Mitigation planning is the process of determining how to reduce or eliminate the loss of life and property resulting from damage from a natural or human caused hazards.

The Hardin County Emergency Management Commission has presented the final draft of the County Mitigation Plan. It is now ready for public review and comment. To view the plan, please follow the link below.

Next Step

The next step will be formal adoption by each participating jurisdiction and school district within Hardin County.

The Commission welcomes any public comment on the plan and will post it for two weeks on the Hardin County Emergency Management Webpage for review.
